Hello!
My name is Josie and I'm the founder of Birth Baby Mind.

About me
With nearly seven years of experience in the charity sector, I’ve had the privilege of providing one-to-one support to many individuals during the perinatal period.
My approach combines professional expertise with personal insight, shaped by both my training and lived experience.

My professional development reflects a deep commitment to supporting those in the perinatal period.
I am trained in the Solihull Approach and have completed specialist study in Maternal and Infant Mental Health. I am also a qualified trauma-informed birth partner (Doula), registered with FEDANT—the Federation of Antenatal Educators. I hold a qualification in Life Coaching and have completed training in Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), a powerful tool for emotional self-regulation.
I have delivered training to volunteers in Perinatal Support and Befriending and completed the University of Oxford’s Brain Story course, which explores the science of early brain development.
I am currently training in Video Interaction Guidance, an evidence-based method that promotes healthy parent-child attachment. To further enhance my inclusive practice, I am also undertaking ongoing training in Somatic Therapy, Neurodivergent Perinatal Care, and affirming, inclusive support for LGBTQ+ families.

As a mother of two, I bring lived experience and empathy to my work. I practice from a trauma-informed perspective, hold public protection training, am PVG certified, fully insured, and engage in professional supervision to ensure I offer the highest standard of care.
